Harvey Classics was an imprint of Harvey Comics 1991-1994.
For the Harvey characters, it was largely, if not exclusively, reprints. But after the end of Western Publishing making comics under their Gold Key and Whitman imprints, for a few years, Harvey Classics was the home for many of the franchises published by Western Publishing. (Excluding Disney and Looney Tunes.) Harvey Classics also became the home for a bunch of new franchises that became available in the early 90s including Beetlejuice, Back to the Future and more.
History[]
In 1989, Harvey was sold to Jeffrey Montgomery's HMH Communications, located in Santa Monica, California. It was renamed Harvey Comics Entertainment (HCE), publishing reprints in the early 1990s as Harvey Classics.
